What is causing the pain in my heel?

Home > FAQ > HEEL PAIN > What is causing the pain in my heel?

Heel pain is caused by an inflammation of the tendon or ligament attaching to the bone. Heel Pain can occur on the bottom of the foot, Plantar Fasciitis, or at the back of the heel, Achilles Tendonitis. Typically, the inflammation is brought on by an overuse injury that can occur from running, exercising or even stumbling or falling. The biomechanics of your feet will also contribute to heel pain, causing certain ligaments to over work, placing strain on the heel ligaments. Custom orthotics will help control and stabilize the mechanics of your feel, and prevent heel pain and inflammation from returning long term.
