That depends on why you took a break. If you have a serious injury such as a stress fracture or afracture, tendon rupture or even a severe sprain, you’re on the bench until these injuries heal properly. If you’re suffering from an overuse running injury, such as Plantar Fasciitis, shin splints, Achilles tendonitis or heel pain, then we can get you up and running again very soon, if not right away. The sooner you discover the injury, the sooner you need to have it checked and treated before it gets worse. When you come into see me, I will perform a complete and comprehensive examination then discuss your treatment options. I will also discuss preventative maintenance for your running future.
