Amanda’s Top 10 Christmas Movies

 10) Scrooged (1988)

This movie spins the classic tale into a comedic adventure set in modern times and where the ghost of Christmas past waves punches around rather than a wand.

9) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

Director Ron Howard took a classic Dr. Seuss novel and turned it into theatrical magic. Best part of the movie for me is “You’re a Mean One”.

8) Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

Starring Maureen O’Hara and Natalie Wood, about the belief of Santa Clause that ends up in a court of law! A wonderful tale with wonderful surprises!

7) A Christmas Carol (1901-present)

The original black and white film starring Alastair Sim as Ebenezer himself was a wonderful portrayal of the book. Charles Dickens classic has been reinvented time and time again starting in 1901 to the present time.

6) A Muppet Family Christmas (1988)

Muppets + Christmas = Awesomeness!

5) National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)

Four words: Chevy Chase sledding downhill.

4) Elf (2003)

Starring Will Ferrell and James Cann, this movie is for viewers of all ages! I am not spoiling anything about this movie, but if you have not seen it I recommend that you do and make sure you are ready to continue laughing throughout the whole night.

3) The Polar Express

Starring Tom Hanks, the children’s novel brought to life for the cinema was inspiring and heart warming. If you have not seen it….you better!

2) Its A Wonderful Life

Starring Jimmy Stewart, “Every time a Bell rings an Angel gets it’s wings”. What more is there to say?

1) A Christmas Story

One Kid in his effort to get a Red Rider BB Gun…..EPIC!
